We are a Christian community and belong to the Evangelical Church of the Augsburg Confession (A.C.) in Romania.

The ground of our faith is the Holy Bible in the understanding of the protestant tradition, established in the 16th century by the Lutheran Reformation and introduced in Transylvania by Johannes Honterus.

Our mission is to proclaim the Gospel in all areas of community life, primarily by priests and appointed laymen. Through the Word of God we are part of the worldwide community of all Christian churches.

We carry on the tradition of the German culture created and developed by our ancestors, the Transylvanian Saxons. As part of the local community, we actively participate in its social and cultural life. The love of God and of our fellows are the basis of a life in tolerance and respect.

Thus, our community of Black Church invites everybody to meet and share in authentic and profound Christian communion.
